Dubai makes it to the top five of the most picturesque destinations around the world at Christmas

Dubai has secured a spot among the world's top five most gorgeous Christmas destinations. Ranking at number four, it becomes one of the "it destinations" for the holiday season, along with places like New York, London, and Paris.

In order to compile the ranking, Travelbag, a long-haul travel provider, examined Instagram hashtags for 100 of the world's top-rated cities. With almost 60,000 Instagram images labelled "Christmas in Dubai," Dubai is the most popular city, followed by Chicago, Vienna, Miami, Los Angeles, Melbourne, and Sydney.      

The city is filled with pop-ups and winter markets. Additionally, the city gets into the spirit with holiday performances, exquisitely decked venues for celebration, light displays, and artwork—all of which serve as ideal backgrounds for that guaranteed-to-go-viral Instagram photo.
