NewsThe Dubai Land Department revealed on X that alerts would now be sent via WhatsApp to streamline its offerings. This implies that you will now be able to monitor the status of your property evaluation or rent renewal via the messaging app. You will receive updates on the status of your application in both Arabic and English through the SMS.
Since its founding in 1960, the Dubai Land Department has performed two billion transactions. Everything pertaining to land and real estate in the Emirate is managed by the government agency. The department is also in charge of RERA, the regulatory body.
Data from August 2023 from Property Finder showed that 81 percent of renters were seeking for flats and 19 percent were looking for villas.
Of the tenants who expressed interest in renting a villa, 54% preferred it to be unfurnished. About 36% of respondents wanted a one-bedroom, 31% wanted a two-bedroom, and 21% wanted a studio. Thirty-five percent of tenants looked for four-bedroom or bigger villas, while forty-three percent of tenants preferred three-bedroom residences.
