According to researchers, Dubai is "lavish, luxurious, and lively in equal measure" and "continues its epic ascent on the world stage." as it ranked sixth on the list of the "World's Best Cities by Resonance."

Dubai made it into the top ten by placing second for parks and outdoors and sixth for Instagram hashtags. The city also rated eighth in the attractions section, thanks to all of the malls, record-breaking attractions, amusement parks, and family-friendly resorts, according to the report. The Middle Eastern destination was beaten to the top spot on the list by metropolitan favourites such as London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Singapore, but it ranked higher than 94 other cities worldwide.

The 2024’s list was created by merging key facts from 400 worldwide cities with user-generated ratings and reviews from digital sources such as Tripadvisor, Google, Facebook, and Instagram.

To create the top 100 list, Resonance examined the data through the perspective of three crucial factors: liveability, lovability, and wealth. According to the researchers, liveability is defined as resilient communities with sustainable infrastructure (to make cities and communities better places to live and visit), while lovability is a city's perceived social liveliness to attract visitors and as a crucial driver of economic development.
