Dubai International gets busier than ever with seven international airlines starting new flights to nine destinations

With seven foreign airlines launching new flights to nine destinations, Dubai International (DXB) is anticipating its "busiest winter ever." The number of weekly one-way flights departing from DXB has increased by 20% from the previous winter season to 4,400.

Since October, the following seven airlines have introduced new services and destinations to DXB's flight schedule:

• Air Canada: YVR – Vancouver

• TUS Airways: LCA – Larnaca

• Eurowings: BER – Berlin and STR – Stuttgart

• Aegean Airlines: ATH – Athens

• Batik Air: KUL – Kuala Lumpur

• Transavia: LYS – Lyon and MRS – Marseille

• Virgin Atlantic Airways: LHR – London
