Dubai International Airport ranks second place for its total number of passengers as per ACI

Based on total passenger counts for 2023, the Airports Council International (ACI) unveiled its ranking of the world's ten busiest airports. It was discovered that DXB carried 86, 994, 365 passengers in total in 2023, continuing its winning streak from 2022 and 2019.

Due to the general restoration of confidence in international travel during the epidemic, this is 31.7 percent greater than in 2022. Dubai comes in second place after Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, a major American travel hub that handles a lot of travel within the United States of America, when both domestic and international passengers are combined.

Unlike the airports in Atlanta, Dallas, London, and Tokyo that surround the Emirati airport in the rankings, DXB's overall passenger figure only includes foreign travelers due to its lack of domestic flights.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, declared his happiness upon learning that Dubai had placed second overall.

He announced the rating as the beginning of a new chapter in Dubai's development journey in a post on X, the old Twitter.
