Dubai has an air quality monitoring station launched at Jebel Ali that can measure 101 types of air pollutants

NewsDubai has launched an air quality monitoring station that can detect 101 different kinds of air contaminants. To commemorate World Environment Day, the Dh2-million facility which includes 11 sensors was unveiled on Wednesday at Jebel Ali. Conforming to the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, it is the first permanent air quality monitoring station constructed by the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation.
The programme is a component of larger endeavours spearheaded by Dubai's Crown Prince and Executive Council Chairman, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to adopt and carry out projects meant to enhance the city's general standard of living.
Jebel Ali was selected as the station's location to enhance air quality across Dubai, especially in regions under the corporation's supervision, and guaranteeing a hygienic and safe working environment through ongoing monitoring and evaluation of air quality.
