Dubai has 740 new electric vehicle EV charging points operational across the city

There more than 34,970 EVs on Dubai's roads as of October 2024, and hence more EV charging stations are required. In order to facilitate this expansion, DEWA's Green Charger network provides a wide range of conveniently located, ultra-fast wall-box charging choices.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, highlighted that increasing the city's EV charging network encourages individuals and companies to utilize electric vehicles and help create a more environmentally friendly future.

DEWA has also simplified network access through its website and app, making it even simpler for EV users to locate a local charging station with a few taps.

DEWA has awarded the first two Independent Charge Point Operator (CPO) licenses to Tesla and UAEV in addition to its public network.

The expansion of private-sector investment in EV infrastructure is anticipated to be accelerated by these new collaborations, giving drivers even more choices.
