NewsThe first-ever PixieDrone has been introduced in the UAE, as announced by Dubai Harbour. The PixieDrone, which is equipped with a video camera and remote sensing LIDAR technology, can reach tight locations and can sort rubbish including biological waste, plastics, glass, metal, paper, fabric, and rubber. It can run autonomously for up to six hours and has a 160-litre collecting capacity. With both freshwater and saltwater, it works flawlessly.
The floating garbage collector functions as an autonomous remote-controlled drone that locates rubbish on the water's surface, intercepts it, and stores it in a large collection tank to be disposed of in another way. Its incorporation into Dubai Harbour turns into a helpful tool for cleaning up litter and abandoned garbage along the coasts and in the waterways of the UAE.
The PixieDrone was developed by The Searial Cleaners, a French business that pioneers effective solutions for marinas, resorts, docks, and public spaces. It is very small compared to other clean-up robots, measuring around 1.62 metres long by 1.15 metres broad.
