Dubai government allocates Dhs150 million to support content creators and establish a permanent headquarters

The government of Dubai has allotted Dhs 150 million to help content producers and set up a year-round permanent headquarters for influencers. The declaration was made during the New Media Academy's 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai. The occasion also marked the graduation of the fourth class of the Faris Al Muhtawa programme and ninety content producers from the "Social Media Professional Programme."

The Vice President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, underlined the importance of the media in representing society ideals and ambitions.

He emphasised the value of influencers' content production to promote the UAE's history, accomplishments in culture, and the inventiveness of younger generations on a worldwide scale. The goal is to revolutionise the digital media industry and assist content creators. The money earmarked for content creators offers remarkable prospects for corporate growth and global exposure to Emirati accomplishments.

The UAE Government Media Office and the New Media Academy are partnering to bring together leading influencers and content producers, allowing them to produce material of the highest calibre and support sustainable development objectives.

The fund, which is valued at Dhs150 million, intends to “support the development of creative and impactful content, helping creators enter global markets”. In partnership with companies like Google and Facebook, it seeks to assist content producers in developing their knowledge, acquiring new abilities, and obtaining technical support.
