Dubai gets ready for another record-breaking structure Aeternitas - the tallest residential clock tower

Dubai is all set to get another record, this time for the tallest residential clock tower in the world. The project, which will be completed in 450 metres, is a partnership between Franck Muller, a luxury watch maker in Switzerland, and London Gate, a leading real estate developer in the United Arab Emirates. 

London Gate has teamed with One Broker Group to create a flexible payment plan. Property prices start at Dhs1.6m ($435,000).

The new clock tower, called Aeternitas after the well-known Frank Muller watch of the same name, will be situated in Dubai Marina. With 1,483 components and 36 intricacies, the firm boasts on its website that this is the most intricate watch in the world. The opulent residential development is scheduled for a formal launch in January 2024, with inhabitants anticipating a handover by 2026.

This will be the first residential clock tower in the city. On the junction of Umm Hurair Road and D89, there is another prominent clock tower in Dubai called the Deira Clock Tower which was constructed in 1965. Plans to renovate the clock tower and surrounding area of the roundabout were revealed this year. Greenery and multicoloured lighting were added to it. The 20-meter-tall structure had four legs and resembled a spider before renovations were done.

The forthcoming skyscraper will be among the world's most popular structures, including the Burj Khalifa, which stands at 825 metres tall, the Dubai Mall, which spans 1,124,000 square metres and is the largest mall in the world, and the Dubai Frame, which is 150 metres in height and 93 metres in width. It is also the biggest photo frame in the world.
