According to a senior official, Dubai anticipates that in 2024, the number of tourists will surpass that of the previous year as it looks to maintain the tremendous momentum created over the previous few years.
Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), stated in a Khaleej Times interview that sustaining the robust growth seen in 2023 will depend on drawing in both new and returning tourists.
With a significant increase of 19.4%, the Emirates saw a record 17.15 million foreign visitors last year as opposed to 14.36 million the year before. The stats exceeded the pre-pandemic totals from 2019, when 16.73 million tourists came in total.
