The Dubai Comedy Festival is back, and it will take place on Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 21. Two of Dubai's largest venues will host performances by some of the most well-known comedians in the world. Comedic icons Gad Elmaleh, Al Murray, and Frank Skinner have all been confirmed as the first headline performances for Dubai Opera's main stage. Not only will the festival begin in little over two months, but the Coca-Cola Arena will also be welcoming some of the biggest comedians in the business.
The amazing Coca-Cola Arena and the esteemed Dubai Opera will be two of the city's venues for the 2024 Dubai Comedy Festival. For the first time, Dubai Opera will host concerts with a centrally located, walkable setup that will enable attendees to move between shows or stay in one area, creating an authentic festival atmosphere that encourages socialising.
The event's tickets are not yet available for purchase.
Frank Skinner and Al Murray are well-known among British expatriates due to their numerous TV appearances on UK networks, particularly their respective roles on the hit programme Taskmaster.
On Monday, April 15, Frank Skinner's observational comedy will take the stage at the Dubai Opera Hall. The next day, Al Murray will also play there.
Gad Elmaleh, known as the "Seinfeld of France," is likewise well-known in the French-speaking world for his approachable, daily comedy. He will kick off the event on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13, with two performances in Dubai Opera's main hall.
Known by his stage name Bassi, Indian comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi has a large fan base on the internet and is scheduled to present his new act "Kisi Ko Batana Mat" in Dubai as part of the festival.
Along with podcasters Spencer and Vogue, British stand-up comedian Mo Gilligan, and American comedians Chris Distefano and Amer Zahr have also been revealed.
