Dubai Civil Defence signs a collaboration agreement with the US-headquartered National Fire Protection Association

The world's largest fire safety group, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), having its headquarters in the US, and the Dubai Civil Defence announced on Friday that they had inked a partnership agreement. The signing event was attended by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairman of the Supreme Committee of Crisis, and Disaster Management in Dubai, who was visiting the General Directorate of the Dubai Civil Defence.

According to Maj-Gen Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, director-general of Dubai Civil Defence, the organisation wants to set an example for the rest of the world by implementing cutting-edge technology that protects people and property. The NFPA's president and CEO, Jim Pauley, praised the Dubai Civil Defence for its outstanding safety and security measures as well as its creative application of artificial intelligence (AI) across its operations.

Pauley stated that by signing this agreement, successful experiences, information, and skills would continue to be shared, strengthening regional and international alliances. It emphasises our joint dedication to creating industry-leading fire safety practises.

Sheikh Mansoor applauded the civil defence for its world-class services, worldwide competitiveness, and proficiency in using cutting-edge technology. Major Issa Ahmed Al Mutawa was declared a judge in the International Security and Safety Exhibition Arbitration Committee and the president of the Advisory Committee during his visit to the department's headquarters. Vice-president of the advisory committee Aliya Omar bin Touq, a specialist in information security, was also appointed.

The appointments acknowledge the skill and aptitude of the Emirati labour force as well as their noteworthy contributions to the accomplishment of international projects in a variety of fields.
