Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence has been launched; aims to assist government entities in deploying future technologies across key sectors

The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) opened its doors on Thursday at Emirates Towers, AREA 2071, according to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation.

The new Centre intends to help government organisations adopt cutting-edge technology across important industries. This is in line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision and directives, which aim to establish the emirate as a worldwide leader in anticipating new possibilities and challenges as well as guiding the future. He is also the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

According to Hamdan, Dubai is continuing to embrace new artificial intelligence and future technologies at a quick pace, keeping up with the development of technological innovation throughout the world. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the second deputy ruler of Dubai and head of the Dubai Media Council, was present at the launch ceremony.

One thousand government workers from more than thirty government agencies are to receive training in generative artificial intelligence from the Dubai Centre for AI. Additionally, it intends to improve government services, roll out dozens of trial projects, boost government worker efficiency, and assist more than 20 local and international start-ups in advanced technology.
