Dubai Airshow 2023; The valour of UAE aviation captivated hundreds of audiences and passionate aviation enthusiasts

The spectacular flypast over the Dubai World Central (DWC) runway on Monday during the Dubai Airshow 2023 showcased the aviation expertise of the United Arab Emirates once again. The world's largest commercial passenger plane, the Emirates A380, led the formation. Next came Al Fursan, the UAE's air show team, which formed a V shape and left behind awe-inspiring red, green, and black smoke trails.

A Boeing 777 from Emirates, an Airbus 320 from Etihad, a Boeing 737 from flydubai, and an Air Arabia Airbus 320 followed suit in the formation, all of which soared through the skies with grace and awe, captivating the hundreds of spectators and fervent aviation enthusiasts who raised their cameras to the sky.

The Emirates A380 stayed at only a hundred metres above the ground. The Boeing 777 operated by Emirates flew at a height of 160 metres in close pursuit. Both aircraft had Emirates' new trademark livery, which provides a dynamic and modern visual representation whilst travelling. This airborne accomplishment is the product of months of meticulous and cooperative planning. A wide range of stakeholders worked closely together, including many teams from Emirates and other UAE airlines, the UAE Military, the UAE Ministry of Defence, Emirates pilots, Flight Operation Managers, and Air Traffic Controllers.

Coordination with the Dubai Air Show Flying Control Committee and the aviation authorities DCAA and GCAA was another aspect of this cooperative effort. The teams worked together on many components of the aerial show, considering variables including weather and wind conditions, locations flown over, and air traffic patterns at different times of the day.

From Tuesday, November 14 to Friday, November 17, the sky will be transformed into a canvas for aerial acrobatics over the next four days. Daily hours for the free exhibits at Dubai World Center's Skyview Grandstand are 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
