DJ battle for aspiring hip-hop disc jockeys with a prize of three-month paid residency

The FRNDS Grand Café's speakeasy, Secret Room, is holding its first-ever DJ competition. The pub calls budding DJs to participate in the competition, which will span for five weeks, specifically for DJs that play hip-hop and rap. 16 DJs will compete in nightly 30-minute sets between 10 p.m. and midnight as part of the Secret Room DJ competition. The top finisher will get a three-month paid stay at the well-known speakeasy.

By Sunday, September 10, you must upload a 30-minute mix set to social media with the title "Secret Room x cllctv_dxb DJ Competition" and the hashtags "#SecretRoomdxb" and "#cllctv_dxb." You must also complete this form. One DJ will be selected each week to go to the final. The four finalists will compete for the three-month residence in the last week.

A DJ set worth Dhs10,000 will be handed as the second prize, followed by Dhs5,000 for third place and Dhs1,500 for fourth.

The regular DJs from SOHO Hospitality Group are judging the contest. The judges will assess the aspiring DJs based on their creativity, audience response, music selection, and social media presence.
