Dibba Bay Oyster Festival from Saturday February 25 to Sunday March 5

When it comes to oysters, some of the best from around the globe can be fished out of the sea at Dibba Bay on the coast of Fujairah. Often found in eateries around the city (you can’t get fresher than Dibba Bay shucks), the brand of oysters, first launched in 2016 by Ramie Murray, an expat who grew up in Dubai with a passion for aquafarming, has taken the emirate by storm.

Later on this month, a festival dedicated to the white shelled mollusc is to take place, which is sure to attract those who love an oyster slide down their throat. Dibba Bay Oyster Festival will start on Saturday February 25 until Sunday March 5.

This means that oysters can be picked up from Dibba Bay’s farm-to-table venues in JBR, Fujairah and Umm Suqeim for as low as Dhs8 per oyster.

In collaboration with Dibba Bay oysters, several restaurants in the city will be putting together deals which can be found on the Dibba Bay website.

As part of the Dibba Bay Oyster Festival tickets can be purchased for a tour around its Fujairah farm and visitors can learn about the production process through a tour of the onshore facility with a boat trip to see the oysters hanging in the ocean, with tickets starting from Dhs315 if booked during the early bird promotion.

Also included is oyster tasting and pairing with a non-alcoholic beverage.

Sat Feb 25-Sun Mar 5.
