Dh4.5 million to be allocated to Sharjah libraries with the latest publications of the 42nd session of the Sharjah International Book Fair

The Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, has ordered Dh4.5 million to be set aside to supply Sharjah libraries with the most recent books from the 42nd Sharjah International Book Fair session. The action is intended to help the book industry both locally and internationally and to make it easier for publishing companies to grow. There are 2,033 Arab and international publishing firms attending the event.

The Ruler of Sharjah's contribution, according to Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Sharjah Book Authority, is a continuation of Sharjah's efforts to support the publishing sector and the emirate's public and government libraries.

With the newest resources available in science, literature, and other fields of knowledge, the annual large contribution helps to guarantee that libraries are up to date. Sharjah has become the go-to destination for book industry professionals both locally and internationally, she continued, adding that the SIBF's benefits extend beyond book promotion and cultural enhancement. It has evolved into a platform that helps publishers overcome obstacles by providing a range of services and amenities.
