NewsSheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has unveiled Balghaiylam, a new residential development on Yas Island to the north-east.
The Dh8 billion project is being developed by Aldar Properties in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) as part of the Abu Dhabi Government's efforts to develop integrated and sustainable residential neighbourhoods that will further enhance family stability and community well-being in the emirate. The project, which is expected to be finished in 2026, will provide 1,743 high-quality ready-built houses as well as access to a variety of amenities in a thriving neighbourhood.
Sheikh Khaled evaluated the project's design characteristics during the launch. The Balghaiylam residential project includes schools, mosques, retail and F&B outlets, sports centres, community gardens, playgrounds and parks, and an equestrian centre, providing citizens with access to high-quality amenities in an integrated and dynamic community.
Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism and Chairman of Aldar Properties; Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority; and Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group CEO of Aldar Properties accompanied him.
The project is in accordance with the Abu Dhabi Government's strategy to use public-private partnerships to offer acceptable accommodation for Emiratis inside real estate developments created by recognised developers. Citizens who have been pre-approved by ADHA can utilise their loan to buy three to six-bedroom villas with a variety of architectural styles and interior layouts that suit their demands and finances. ADHA will furnish Aldar with a list of qualified citizens who will assess the available villas before completing the purchasing process.
