Construction for a new dedicated and shared 4-kilometre tracks in Hatta for bicycle and e-scooters has been completed

NewsAccording to Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), work on a new 4-kilometer dedicated and shared track for bicycles and e-scooters has been finished in Hatta. The RTA reports that this project also involved building two rest areas beside the new tracks, bringing the total length of Hatta's tracks to 13.5 km, a 50% increase. A 2.2 km walking pathway that runs beside the new tracks was also finished by RTA.
The newly constructed bike path begins in the Hatta Community Center's garden, crosses the Leem Lake pedestrian bridge, and joins the existing track in Wadi Hatta Park. This track runs up to Hatta Sports Club and connects to the current track at the Hatta Police Roundabout. It then branches out as shared tracks with the existing streets in the Almasiaf region near Al-Salmi. The track is connected to the Hatta Guest House area.
In addition, the Wadi Leem Lake parking lot with space for 135 cars was finished with paving. Additionally improved is the current dirt path that leads from the parking lot to the main roadway. Additionally, directional and traffic signs were erected at several sites, including the entrances to Leem Lake, to guarantee the safety of drivers in Hatta.
