Community Development Authority has launched the Dubai Community Contributions Platform - Jood

It was revealed today that the Community Development Authority (CDA) has established the Dubai Community Contributions Platform, Jood. The platform serves as a focal point for promoting and bolstering charitable and social initiatives in Dubai. Its declared purpose is to strengthen the fundamentals of sustainable community development and encourage the active participation of stakeholders in line with the objectives of Dubai Social Agenda 33.

The platform is being launched in accordance with the direction of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, as well as under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The platform intends to develop a strong and proactive social care and empowerment system by offering a safe, dependable, and officially recognised channel for social responsibility contributions. It is dedicated to fostering a mindset of "Giving Back to the Community." The programme seeks to include businesses, entrepreneurs, institutions, and individuals from a variety of national backgrounds. It promotes their involvement in long-term initiatives that aim to strengthen society in vital areas including social welfare, health, and education. The main goal of the platform is to promote cooperation among stakeholders in order to enhance and progress the social sector, while also guaranteeing transparency and efficiency in leveraging corporate donations to social causes.

This programme is the result of 11 government entities in Dubai working together, and it is in line with the government of Dubai's directions to improve governance in the community contributions sector. It aims to provide a platform that unifies Dubai's corporate social responsibility policy with the social responsibility plans of the emirate's organisations and businesses. Through the execution of meaningful projects, "Jood" seeks to maximise the advantages of generosity while guaranteeing long-term social effect. These programmes, which are based on the idea of "giving back to the community," aim to provide the most potential benefit to locals, citizens, and all societal groups.

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, Dar Al Ber Society, Al Jalila - Dubai Health Foundation, Beit Al Khair Society, and Dubai Charitable Society are now among the participating institutions on the Jood website (jood.ae). The General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, the Department of Digital Authority in Dubai, the Community Development Authority, and the Department of Finance in Dubai collaborated in the development of the platform.

Through electronic payment or bank transfer, the site (jood.ae) enables people and organisations to directly contribute to projects and initiatives that are featured. In addition, it offers recorded records of donations that are customised to satisfy social responsibility standards, as well as frequent updates on the project's status and advancement towards completion. This strategy encourages sustained success and provides contributors with a number of advantages.
