Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai will no longer have a movie theatre. The popular, less-packed movie theatre is no longer available to residents of surrounding areas - the Discovery Gardens, Jebel Ali, and Al Furjan as of July 31.
The company in charge of Ibn Battuta Mall, Nakheel, acknowledged the closure of the Novo Cinemas location but did not elaborate on whether another chain of theatres will take its place. Its "permanently closed" status is also confirmed by a Google search, and Novo Cinemas' official website no longer lists the venue.
