Building owners in Ras Al Khaimah urged to register for the 'Himaya' system before February

The police in Ras Al Khaimah have asked building owners to sign up for the 'Himaya' [protection] system by February. In order to avoid fines, owners of RAK's business towers and buildings are being advised to sign up and renew their subscriptions with the system by February 1.

The platform must be used by these individuals to obtain their certificates prior to the aforementioned date of activation.

In order to make sure owners are meeting the system's registration and renewal criteria, the number of inspection visits will increase beyond the deadline.

The requirements must be met by all CCTV cameras, especially those related to high definition, durability, and quality. In order to guarantee unobstructed visibility, these cameras must be installed at every building entry and exit.

The installed CCTV cameras have a 90-day recording period and can only be connected to RAK police-licensed entities; they cannot be connected to any unauthorized outside parties.

To make criminals reconsider breaking the law, all buildings and towers that are registered with the program are required to display a sticker outside their buildings indicating that they are equipped with CCTV cameras.

Centers, stores, establishments, government agencies, public institutions, mosques, hospitals, schools, hotels, rest homes, jewelry stores, and villas are also covered by the program.

In order to clearly capture vehicle number plates, cameras are also intended to be placed at the lobby and reception areas as well as at the entrances and exits of parking lots.
