Botim partners with Al Etihad Payments to produce a new instant payment platform called Aani

Botim in Dubai has collaborated with Al Etihad Payments (AEP), a Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) subsidiary, to a new fast payment platform – Aani. Users of the Botim Ultra app may use the new platform, which enables safe digital payments and money transfers between numbers.

Key features of Aani include divided bills, QR-code-based payments, request to pay, and proxy payments, where you'll be requested to provide phone numbers instead of your IBAN. Another digital payment method should aid the public in achieving the UAE's progressive transition to a cashless society.

Three-step process to utilise Aani:

• Go to the ‘Botim Money’ page
• Click on ‘Send Money via Aani’
• Select ‘Activate now’

Botim is mostly used as one of the few Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications that the UAE has permitted, but it also lets users send money abroad and pay for services provided by the government.

In the UAE, the app was released in 2018, and in 2023, Astra Tech purchased it. Botim has operations in 155 nations. Free audio and video conversations, international money transfers, and cell top-ups and recharges are some of its highlights.

Aani's Pay wallet will be connected to Botim's. Anyone who has enabled Aani (available on the Apple Store and Google Pay) may now send and receive cash.  The recipient of your money transfer can still get it in their digital wallet even if they do not have Aani.

Eight licenced financial institutions with offices in the United Arab Emirates are now available on the Aani app: Finance House, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Habib Bank Zurich, National Bank of Fujairah, Emirates NBD, and Mashreq Bank.
