Biggest community park Masdar Park opens in Abu Dhabi with playgrounds, green spaces, sports courts, running, cycling tracks and much more

In Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, a brand-new public park called Masdar Park has opened. Spanning 20 hectares, it offers a variety of amenities including playgrounds, sports courts, and jogging and cycling routes. 'The Festival' was held as a free public event to commemorate the opening. A "green" circus procession, interactive light shows, and age-appropriate creative workshops are all part of it. Apart from the amusement, there are several snack stalls. More than 1,000 organisations, including multinational agencies and digital companies, are housed in the Masdar City Free Zone.

Masdar City, a centre for innovation and sustainability-related organisations and initiatives, is home to the largest undertaking of its kind. Masdar Park features a 5km running and cycling track, a pump track, and facilities for basketball, badminton, padel ball, and volleyball. Powered by 340 solar panels that can produce over 300 megawatts of solar energy yearly, the park uses recyclable materials. In the pump track, liquid nano-clay is used.

The Estidama Mosque is located in the park, which has been certified as an "Exemplar" under the Estidama Public Realm Rating System utilised in Abu Dhabi.
