If you are part of a band, here is your chance to shine and launch your musical career: City Walk is hosting a Battle of the Bands competition. The event, which is a part of City Walk Unplugged, is inviting students to come in as musical ensembles. University bands are encouraged to apply for this musical competition by Tuesday, October 31. To be considered, bands must upload a brief video of their performance on TikTok and include their information on the official City Walk website. The victorious band of City Walk Unplugged Season 2 will get a trophy as well as Dhs20,000 in cash.
On Monday, November 6, City Walk will reveal the 20 bands that made the shortlist. These bands will move on to the semi-finals. The chosen bands will compete for the first time on Friday, November 17, and Saturday, November 18. The bands who advance will face off in the grand final on Saturday, November 25 at the City Walk Fountain Area.
Judges from the music industry, such as Richard Hussein, A&R Consultant for MENA and Executive Producer for Coke Studio Middle East, The Voice, and The X Factor, as well as Joelle Khoury Aouad, Casting Producer for The X Factor & The Voice and Kamil Abi Khalil, Head of Production at Anghami, will be evaluating the rock stars.
