Azizi Developments announced the commencement of construction of the second tallest tower in Dubai

Azizi Developments recently announced that construction has begun on what will become the city's second-tallest tower which will be adding yet another imposing structure to Dubai's skyline. The tower's name has not yet been disclosed by the private developer located in Dubai, but they have stated that the project is valued at $1.5 billion, or around Dh5.5 billion.

The skyscraper is being constructed on Sheikh Zayed Road across from the World Trade Centre, and it is expected to be finished by 2028. It will have penthouses, opulent homes, and a vertical mall. In addition, it will have an observation deck, many upscale restaurants, a seven-star hotel, and other facilities.

The 828-meter-tall Burj Khalifa is the highest structure in Dubai and the whole globe. Azizi only has to surpass Marina 101, which is 425 metres tall, and the recently revealed Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower, which is 450 metres tall and will be constructed in Dubai Marina, to be the second-tallest skyscraper in the city.

In order for Azizi to surpass Merdeka 118, Malaysia's 679-meter skyscraper that was finished in November of last year, and take the title of second-tallest tower in the world, it must be higher.
