Aviation sector in Dubai is expected to create 185,000 new jobs by 2030

According to a new analysis issued Thursday by Emirates Group and Dubai Airports, the aviation industry in Dubai is predicted to generate 185,000 new employment by 2030, increasing the overall number of individuals engaged in aviation-related activities to 816,000.

The influence of the aviation industry on Dubai's economy was compiled by Oxford Economics, a worldwide research agency. According to the report, at the end of 2023, one in five employment in Dubai would be tied to aviation, with around 631,000 people working in these positions. By 2030, this will rise to one in five employment.

This included 329,000 employment bolstered by the catalytic effect of aviation-facilitated tourism and 303,000 jobs bolstered by the sector's fundamental economic impact.

One of the main forces behind the expansion of the aviation industry and the creation of new employment will be the planned Al Maktoum International Airport, which when it achieves full operating capacity will be the largest in the world.

According to the report, the aviation industry is expected to continue to grow in the upcoming years, and by 2030, Emirates Airline, Dubai Airports, and other aviation-related companies are expected to directly create around 24,000 new employment.
