An expo, component of the second edition of Project Atmah, provided job opportunities across various sectors for Emirati people of determination

Jobs in a range of industries were offered at a special career expo in Abu Dhabi for ambitious Emiratis. At the expo, corporate HR representatives from several public and private sector sectors emphasised the need to promote inclusion and diversity in the workplace. The expo was a component of the second edition of the Project Atmah project, which was funded by the Authority of Social Contribution (Ma'an) and organised by ImInclusive, the top recognised disability inclusion firm in the United Arab Emirates, and Zayed Higher Organisation (ZHO) for People of Determination.

Atkins Realis, Conrad Abu Dhabi, Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, e&, Edge Group, Serco, du, PWC, Rosewood, VFS Global, Bidfood, Baker Hughes, and more were among the top employers at the Atmah Career Fair.

As part of the year-round Atmah scheme, employers that pledged to hire determined individuals got training on conducting interviews. Employers and candidates have in-person meetings to discuss open positions. In professions like marketing, graphic design, and administration, they applied for junior, mid-senior, and senior openings, with businesses exhibiting a strong commitment to inclusive recruiting procedures. The executive director of Ma'an for social incubation and contracting, Salem Ali Al Shamsi, stated that the organisation has been attempting to build a unified community that embraces every member of the community.

The Atmah programme is a cutting-edge training effort designed to empower driven individuals in Abu Dhabi by providing them with specialist skills essential for job prospects.

The next career fair is scheduled for September. The Atmah programme aims to enrol at least 60 employers this year.
