All fines for traffic violations during the recent record rains will be waived in Sharjah

Sharjah police have stated that any fines for traffic infractions committed by motorists during the recent record rainfall will be waived. Unstable weather conditions hit the UAE from April 15 to 17, with April 16 being the most severe due to the expansion of a "low surface pressure" event and two waves of unstable weather.

This comes as Sharjah Police provided free vehicle damage certifications for individuals affected by the emirate's inclement weather on Sunday.

The authority stated that the decision to eliminate any traffic charges accumulated during this time illustrates the force's dedication to helping society in these unprecedented circumstances.

Many motorists in the Emirates suffered vehicle damage as a result of torrential rainfall, which caused waterlogged roadways and flooding.

As the terrible weather continued, hundreds of homeowners were forced to ditch their automobiles by the roadside. With highways swamped in increasing floodwaters, vehicles were forced to wade through the murky water to safety.
