As part of the UAE's 53rd National Day celebrations, Al Ain City broke the Guinness World Record for the longest fireworks chain.
On December 2, 2024, the magnificent display, which was organized by the Al Ain City Municipality, reached a distance of 11.1km.
The pyrotechnics, which were released from 51 platforms, broke the record in 50 seconds.
After setting the record for the largest bouquet of flowers in February of last year, this is the second record the authority has set in 2024.
The Emirates broke two records for the "Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks" with a total length of 5.8km and the "Longest straight-line drones display" with a total length of 2km with an eight-minute firework and drone performance to start the new year.
The emirate has previously won two Guinness World Records for their 2023 pyro-musical performance.
The 12-minute show lit up the skies and earned them two titles: "largest aerial sentence formed by multi-rotors/drones," which was made with 673 drones, and "largest number of operated multi-rotors/drones with a simultaneous fireworks display."
