Al Ain Book Festival - AABF 2023 will be held from November 19 to 25 with the theme ‘All Eyes on Al Ain’ at Al Ain Square

The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) has announced the dates of its annual Al Ain Book Festival (AABF) 2023, which will take place from November 19 to November 25, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Ain district. All Eyes on Al Ain is the festival's theme, and it will take place at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Square, as well as in commercial districts of the city and at cultural landmarks like Qasr Al Muwaiji, Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Zayed Central Library, and Al Qattara Arts Centre.

The festival, now in its fourteenth year, honours books, art, and various facets of literary creativity. It does this by providing a wide range of interactive activities and a rich and varied programme that encourage reading and connect different facets of the community, particularly the younger ones, with the rich cultural heritage of the United Arab Emirates.

This year's exhibition will feature 150 exhibitors showcasing over 60,000 unique titles, with publications spanning all cultural sectors. With over 400 events and specialty programming spread over many festival venues, the festival hopes to draw in over 82,000 people who will all take advantage of this unique cultural, entertainment, and tourism destination.

The mission of AABF is to promote Al Ain as a leading venue for exceptional events and exhibitions that serve a range of community needs. With its many historical and cultural landmarks, the city provides a unique backdrop for the festival's cultural, literary, artistic, sporting, and entertainment events that cater to a wide range of interests and ages.

The festival provides an excellent venue for showcasing the most recent works and publications on a variety of subjects by writers from the UAE and other countries. In addition to the Poetry Nights event, this year's edition has 150 exhibitors offering over 60,000 titles. Poetry Nights honours the tradition of well-known poets who use song and music to convey culture.

Activities and events will be held at seven significant places around the city of Al Ain during the 2023 Al Ain Book Festival.
