Air taxi services in UAE will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025 as per Archer

The UAE's air taxi services will begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to a Thursday announcement by Archer, a maker of electric flying cars. According to the US-based business, it has achieved "significant progress" in developing its infrastructure, launching its activities in the United Arab Emirates, and establishing a regulatory framework.

Abu Dhabi invested several hundred million dollars earlier this year in Archer Aviation to build its international headquarters in the Emirates and produce air taxis in the United Arab Emirates.

Archer teamed up with Etihad Aviation Training (EAT), based in Abu Dhabi, to hire and train aspiring pilots to fly its Midnight aircraft. The two companies partnered to build a network of vertiports in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Air taxis will cut down on car commutes that take 60 to 90 minutes to an estimated 10 to 30 minutes in a way that is safe, environmentally friendly, quiet, and affordable. Archer's Midnight is a piloted, four-passenger aircraft that can make quick back-to-back trips with little time to recharge in between.
