Agreement signed to initiate the development of Sharjah Sat-2 satellite project aiming to enhance the capabilities of satellite technology in UAE

A contract has been inked to start the "Sharjah Sat-2" satellite project's development. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the deputy ruler of Sharjah and president of the University of Sharjah, was present at the signing event. This satellite project was a joint effort by several organisations. A spectral camera with up to five metres of resolution will be the main payload for Sharjah-Sat 2.
