ADNOC Marathon is taking place on December 16; road closures in place across the city

The ADNOC Marathon is taking place this weekend and on account of this, there would be road closures in place across the city. Phased closures will occur throughout the Abu Dhabi course that runners will be utilising on Saturday, December 16.

Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street will be blocked from 3 am to 9 am, while portions of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street will be closed from 2 am to 7.30 am.

Sheikh Rashid Bin Saaed Street will close between 4 a.m. and noon, while Corniche Street will close between 2 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The marathon will begin at 6 a.m. and end at 12:15 p.m. A 10 km race is scheduled to begin at 6.30 am, a 2.5 km race at 8.45 am, and a 5 km event at 9.30 am.

Before returning to ADNOC headquarters, runners will pass notable locations such as the World Trade Centre, Qasr Al Hosn, and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

There will plenty of family-friendly activities as well as food trucks.
