Adidas will sell additional Yeezy items in August

Adidas said on Friday that it will sell additional Yeezy items in August, adding that a portion of the earnings will be donated to organisations battling intolerance and hatred. Adidas ceased selling Yeezy trainers and ended its association with rapper Ye after the musician, then known as Kanye West, made a string of antisemitic remarks.

"Today, Adidas announced a further release of YEEZY inventory, with a range of existing products being available in phases throughout the month of August across the world," the firm said in a statement. "As previously stated, Adidas will contribute significantly to organisations working to combat discrimination and hatred, including racism and antisemitism." Adidas declared their support for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change, as well as Robert Kraft's Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS). The amount donated by the company was not specified.

"The range available will include some of the most popular existing designs, including the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2, 500, and 700, as well as the YEEZY SLIDE and FOAM RNR," the company stated.

Unexpectedly strong sales of Yeezy sneakers from the Ye partnership are expected to help minimise the company's operational losses this year. Adidas announced this week that the potential impact of a Yeezy stock write-off has been reduced from 500 million euros to 400 million euros. The corporation did not specify how much of its estimated 1.2 billion euros in Yeezy stock had been liquidated, although experts think that around 15% of it had been liquidated.
