Abudhabi to get the landmark Las Vegas Sphere; Residents and visitors can enjoy events, concerts, and shows in a new way

Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) revealed on Tuesday, October 15, that Abu Dhabi will be the next city to receive the iconic Las Vegas Sphere. There will be a whole new experience for locals and guests to enjoy when it comes to events, concerts, and shows. With 20,000 seats, the entertainment medium is anticipated to be on par with the size of the Las Vegas Sphere. It is also anticipated to attract tourists year-round.

The authority mentioned that the Sphere will be at a prominent location in the emirate, although it did not clarify exactly where it will be. 

DCT Abu Dhabi will pay Sphere Entertainment a franchise initiation fee under the conditions of the collaboration, which are still pending, in exchange for the right to construct the arena using its intellectual property, patented designs, and technologies. 

DCT Abu Dhabi will finance the building, while the team of professionals at Sphere Entertainment will handle all aspects of venue development, construction, and pre-opening.
