Abu Dhabi welcomed New Year with spectacular and record-breaking display of fireworks and drones

The Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi, on Monday, saw a breathtaking and unprecedented show of drones and pyrotechnics to welcome in the New Year.

The celebration began with an incredible 40-minute fireworks spectacle that left onlookers in wonder, followed by an amazing 30-minute drone show with an astounding 5,000 UAVs.

Residents of the UAE came to the festival in large numbers to celebrate the New Year. People arrived well before Monday's scheduled 4 pm opening time, demonstrating a contagious enthusiasm. The reaction was so tremendous that the gates had to be closed more than an hour before the celebrations began because they had reached capacity.

The facility was bustling with excitement even before it filled, with guests waiting in line at different food and beverage establishments, ticket booths, gaming stations, and other entertainment areas. The tremendous turnout demonstrated the success of the occasion and the community's excitement to unite and celebrate the start of the New Year at the Sheikh Zayed Festival.
