Abu Dhabi: The newly inaugurated U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) preclearance facility at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport is a significant milestone, marking it as the only such facility in the Middle East and Asia. This facility enables travelers on Etihad Airways flights to complete U.S. immigration, customs, and agriculture inspections in Abu Dhabi before departure, granting them domestic arrival status upon landing in the U.S. Passengers can bypass lengthy immigration queues, making connections smoother and reducing overall travel time.
The facility, which is part of the airport's state-of-the-art infrastructure, employs advanced biometric technologies to enhance security and streamline the preclearance process. This strategic development strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a global aviation hub and reinforces its commitment to delivering an exceptional passenger experience.
