Abu Dhabi Police used 3D CGI technology to educate and remind motorists of crucial safety practices

Abu Dhabi Police employed 3D CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) technology to remind and educate drivers about important safety procedures as they are approaching roadways in order to increase road safety in the emirate. To ensure smoother traffic flow and lower accident rates, the authority turned to technology.

The Abu Dhabi Police have listed the following five guidelines for drivers to make sure they are clear of the road before they enter:

- The speed should be lowered as you get closer to road exits. It gives more time to appraise the situation and respond to any unanticipated events.

- Use side warning signals: In order to effectively convey your intentions to other drivers, turn signals must be used correctly. This procedure aids in avoiding miscommunications and possible accidents.

- Drive slowly if there is a car in front of you or parked close to the road entry. Be wary of parked cars. Parked cars can block your vision, making it more difficult to spot pedestrians or other vehicles coming from behind.

- Always yield to traffic on the main route: Give way to traffic on the major road first. Failure to give these vehicles precedence might lead to serious circumstances as they have the right of way.

- Make sure the road is clear: Always make sure there are no oncoming cars on a road before entering it. In order to avoid mishaps, this last inspection is essential.

Penalties:

Following the recommended safety protocols can help drivers greatly reduce collisions and improve road safety in general. Nonetheless, a driver will face consequences in accordance with UAE laws if they disregard traffic regulations.

Entering a road before confirming that it is clear: Four black points, Dh 400

Risky road entry: Dh600, six black points
