Abu Dhabi has opened its first totally air-conditioned outdoor promenade, an innovative project to enhance urban living.
The promenade, which is situated in the Al Nahyan neighborhood close to the Al Mamoura skyscraper, has a cutting-edge cooling system built into it that keeps the temperature constant at 24°C all year long.
The project, which was started by the Department of Municipalities and Transport, is to provide a pleasant pedestrian experience for locals and tourists, even during the hottest summer months.
