Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is hosting as many as 1,350 exhibitors from 90 countries

News EventVisitors to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) this year will receive a number of freebies, including passes to some of the cultural attractions in the Capital.
ADIBF is open until Sunday and has up to 1,350 exhibitors from 90 different nations.
Even though it's free to enter the fair, you must reserve tickets by creating an account on its official website, https://adbookfair.com. After that, guests are given free admission to the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Hosn for one visit. The free admission to the two cultural sites is available until May 12, even though the fair finishes on May 5.
A variety of book subscription discounts and special offers from publishing partners are also available to fair attendees:
- a special three-month subscription price of Dh30 on the "Rufoof" platform
- a yearly subscription to the Storytel platform is discounted by 60%.
- 50% reduction is available for a yearly subscription to the "IqraalyTM" platform.
- additionally, readers can listen to novelist Naguib Mahfouz's works for free on the "IqraalyTM" app, a project carried out in association with Diwan Publishing.
These programs, which are run by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), are intended to foster a love of reading as well as culture and conversation amongst people.
The festival will also feature cultural events and activities.
According to Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, the director of the ADIBF and executive director of the ALC, the increasing number of publications and visitors is indicative of Abu Dhabi's standing as a major global center of culture.
The 'Book of the World' program, which showcases priceless works that have impacted global culture, is another new feature that the fair has included.
