Abu Dhabi has been ranked number one in the worlds safest cities list of 2024, according to Numbeo

The internet database Numbeo has assigned Abu Dhabi the top spot on its ranking of the world's safest cities for 2024. Ajman, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah were three more emirates that were included among the top six cities in the world.

The safety rating for Abu Dhabi was 86.8, while its crime rate was 13.1. Venezuela's capital, Caracas, had the lowest scores, with a safety rating of 17.8 and a crime index of 82.2. Since 2017, Abu Dhabi has been ranked as the world's safest city by Numbeo.

An evaluation of the total amount of crime in a certain city or nation is provided by the crime index. 329 cities were ranked by Numbeo on its crime index.

High ranking Abu Dhabi Police authorities stated that the city's eighth-place ranking for safety represents the emirate's leadership in the world in putting the finest security measures in place and improving the standard of living for locals, tourists, and citizens.

Abu Dhabi Police Commander-in-Chief Major-General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei emphasised that the city's innovative security and safety measures have increased Abu Dhabi's appeal.
