Abu Dhabi Municipality Announces Temporary Closure of Khalifa Square. In a notice on Thursday, Abu Dhabi Municipality announced the temporary closure of Khalifa Square on 28, 29, and 30 December. The closure is part of preparations for the 53rd National Day celebrations. Abu Dhabi will also host a variety of activities, including fireworks at multiple locations across the city during the festive period.
