NewsAround 92,000 citizens were employed in the private sector, by the time the 2023 Emiratization objectives were fulfilled. This is a noteworthy increase of over 157% when compared to the figures from the September 2021 start of the "Nafis" programme. This number, which is the highest in history, demonstrates how successful Emiratization policies and choices have been in providing a strong foundation for long-term employment.
Businesses who pledge to meet 2% annual growth objectives for Emiratization will henceforth be given preference when competing for contracts related to government procurement. This is in addition to other advantages, such as adding them to the Emiratization Partners Club.
Nafis offers advantages to both businesses and people, including the Pension Programme and access to a database of UAE nationals who are eligible for employment.
The ministry has identified 916 businesses that, between 2022 and the present, have disregarded emiratization rulings, attempted to evade emiratization goals, and created fictitious emiratization jobs.
Recently, more than 12,000 businesses with 20–49 people across 14 industries have begun to implement emiratization objectives.In 2024 and 2025, they will need to recruit one UAE national and another.
Under the direction, guidance, and oversight of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emiratization of the private sector continues to be a primary focus for the UAE government.
