A new weekend bus route - W20, connecting Stadium Metro Station with Al Mamzar Beach will begin operations on February 9

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said on Thursday that a new weekend bus route, W20, will start operating on Friday, February 9, for the convenience of bus users, notably beachgoers in Al Mamzar. Route W20, which connects Stadium Metro Station with Al Mamzar Beach, will run every half hour from Friday through Sunday between 5 and 11 p.m.

According to RTA, it would also "improve the quality of daily passenger transportation by optimising multiple public bus routes, guaranteeing seamless and comfortable travel to multiple locations throughout the emirate." These upgrades are expected to shorten travel times and simplify bus commuter movement.

Renaming Route 11B as Route 11 is one way to improve the bus rider experience. Furthermore, Routes 16A and 16B will now be known as Routes 16 and 25, respectively, after being realigned. While Route 25 departs from the Gold Souq Bus Station and ends at Al Rashdiya, Route 16 departs from the Al Rashdiya Bus Station and travels to Al Awir.

Further improvements to the everyday travel experience for customers will be made to a few bus routes. For example, Route F62 will be expanded to encompass Dubai Festival City and the Al Garhoud district. It is planned for Route C04 to reach the Mohammed bin Rashid Library. Direct, nonstop service from key stations to the Global Village will be provided by Routes 103 and 106.
