A commemorative 24-karat gold note in Dubai honouring Dubai's finest attributes. The gold note honours Dubai's rich history of gold trading and was conceptualised by Dian Jewellery, Finmet DMCC, and Valaurum.
Due to the bustling Dubai Gold Souk, one of the largest gold marketplaces in the world, Dubai is frequently referred to as the "City of Gold."
The note feels and looks like a contemporary bank note and has 0.1 grammes of gold within. It serves as a memento for both locals and tourists to Dubai.
Each note is identified by a unique serial number, and the design features the skyline and landmarks of Dubai.
The note costs Dhs 159 per piece and is available at Shantilal Jewellers (SCS) and Dian Jewellery in Dubai Gold Souk. It also includes a commemorative cover.
You cannot use it in stores because it is just intended as a memento and is not accepted as cash.
In order to safeguard and preserve the 24-karat gold, a tiny coating of the metal is sandwiched between polymer substrate, a substance often found in contemporary banknotes.
