A fine of up to Dh30,000 for individuals, and up to Dh50,000 for companies for illegally transporting passengers

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Tuesday that officials in Dubai had recently detained more than 220 private vehicles which were utilised for unauthorised passenger transportation. 

Following inspections by the General Department of Airport Security and RTA near Dubai Airports' Terminals 1, 2, and 3 (DXB), a total of ninety automobiles were seized. 

86 unlawful automobiles were seized in Hatta as a result of the measures adopted, while 49 cars were impounded in the Jebel Ali region.

Executive Council Resolution No. (20) of 2021 modifying Executive Council Resolution No. (6) of 2016 which controls passenger transport by automobiles in Dubai stipulates that a fine of up to Dh30,000 for individuals and up to Dh50,000 for corporations may be imposed for unauthorised passenger transport.
