A 6km public access road will lead directly from Sheikh Zayed Road to Palm Jebel Ali

The much-anticipated Palm Jebel Ali will be readily accessible from the Sheikh Zayed route via a 6 kilometer public access route. The road's starting contract has been given to Nakheel, the master developer said on Sunday, May 26. 

Additionally, the company has been given a contract for the renovation of Al Hesah Street (formerly known as the old Abu Dhabi Road) and its lights at Dubai Waterfront, the mainland connecting Palm Jebel Ali to the mainland.

As per Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, the artificial archipelago fashioned like a palm and double the size of Palm Jumeirah will eventually house over 35,000 families. 

It is anticipated that Palm Jebel Ali will be the next great thing in Dubai's real estate market. The island is 10.5 million square meters in size and covers 13.4 kilometers of land. With 91 km of seashore and 110 km of coastline, it has 16 fronds in all. Along with entertainment and recreational amenities, it will house more than 80 hotels and resorts.
