6.7 million passengers were transported via public transport during the Eid Al Adha break from June 15 to 18

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Wednesday that its public transportation, taxis, and shared mobility vehicles conveyed 6.7 million passengers between June 15 and 18. 

The figure surpasses the 6.4 million people who used public transportation during the same period previous year.

The number of metro passengers using the red and green lines hit 2.5 million, tram passengers surpassed 101,000, and public bus passengers numbered 1.4 million.

Marine transportation was also popular, with 280,000 passengers documented. 

Taxis played an important role, conveying 2 million riders, while shared transportation vehicles carried over 350,000 passengers.
